We sweep Agas and Rayburns
Rick sweeps open fires, wood burning stoves, Agas, Rayburns and inglenooks. If your kitchen has an Aga or a Rayburn, tell Karen about it when you book.
This is a sweeping service. It does not include servicing the cooker itself.
Tell Karen what you have
When you book, tell Karen three things: the make, the model, and what it burns. She uses them to confirm the booking with you before the visit, so everything is agreed before Rick arrives.
How the sweep is done
Rick is HETAS qualified, a member of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps and a chartered builder (MCIOB). On every sweep:
- Dust sheets are sealed to the opening.
- A HEPA filtered vacuum runs throughout.
- The flue is power swept or swept with traditional rods and brush, whichever suits it.
Other fires in the house
If the house also has an open fire, a wood burning stove or an inglenook, tell Karen about those too when you book. Rick sweeps all of them, and a certificate is emailed after every sweep.
Your certificate
A certificate is emailed to you after every sweep, so you have a record for your insurer and for your own files.
Price
The price is confirmed when you book, once Karen knows the make, the model and what it burns.
We are based in Great Barton and cover 30 miles around Bury St Edmunds, covering parts of Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. Not sure you are inside our range? Ring 01284 365 010 with the postcode and we will tell you straight away.
