We are in Great Barton, just the other side of Bury St Edmunds, so Newmarket is about 20 minutes down the A14. From spring to early autumn we can usually offer a date within the week. On a thatched house the two things we look at hardest are the lining and the pot height, because most thatch fires start with heat passing from a poor flue into the thatch, or embers landing on it from a pot that sits too low.
